Abstract
The case is concerned with the development of a successful product innovation in the medical equipment industry. The innovation is one initially developed by the user and transferred to the manufacturer. However, there is continuous user/manufacturer interaction throughout the development, manufacture and marketing of the product. Each step in the innovation process is detailed. The student is asked to determine an innovation strategy for the company.
