Abstract
The reader is placed in the position of a Planning Officer for a National Park who is reviewing a market survey and preparing a management plan for a long distance footpath across the North Yorkshire moors. The usage of the path has far exceeded its resource carrying capacity, but considerable conflicting interests emerge from a variety of interested parties. Critical issues revolve around resource improvement and customer demand management. Suitable for courses in non-profit marketing or strategic marketing with a non-profit input, the case may be used as a basis for a class role-play exercise.
