Abstract

This panel discussion proposal deals with the legal and social pressures affecting advertising and its management. The business response to the changing advertising environment in the United States and the consumer attitudes towards advertising are also portrayed in the proposal. The proposal is used to make the students synthesize and incorporate the trichotonomous considerations in making advertising management related decisions such as advertising strategy, theme, media and copy selection, etc. Typically students are asked to relate the matter in the case to the advertising management problems of a specific product or service.
