Abstract
The startup and proposed expansion of a firm making pinewood fitted kitchens. The exercises deal with all the main problems and decisions that have to be made when a business starts up or expands. It is therefore a suitable teaching vehicle for business startup courses. If desired, students can work in pairs. It has been found helpful to discuss each exercise in class (group discussion followed by reporting back) prior to the preparation of written solutions to the exercises. This is a modified version of the Pinecrafts case series (380-031-2 to 381-035-1).
