Abstract
A foundry in the West Midlands finds that a vital section of its production capabilities has come to be run by an all Asian workforce, and though the older members of the group have been very conciliatory and understanding, the younger members are behaving in an extremely militant way. The white shop steward has come to be replaced by a middle aged Asian and even he is bypassed when it comes to important negotiations.
