Abstract
This case concerns a small firm in the printing industry, and describes the firm''s growth and development. Limited information is provided about the firm''s management and organisation structure, a succession problem, and the apparent lack of clear job definition. The case was used in the classroom under the heading of ''organisation structure and behaviour''. It can provide a useful discussion of the connection between structure and assumptions/behaviour on the part of the chief executive, and a succession problem to try to solve.
