Abstract

The Aydin Printing Company is a large printing firm which from its foundation until 1968 did casual printing jobs. But as this work proved to be seasonal, they found that from time to time they were working below capacity. To prevent this, and the resultant accumulation of funds, they decided in 1968 to take up publishing work. Shortly after they had launched their publications, which fall into two groups, one consisting of series of books and the other of periodicals, the company began to suffer from a shortage of funds. At this time the rapid growth of their inventory and receivables connected with their publications prompted the firm''s management to consider what action it was necessary to take. The company''s general manager believes there are three possible ways open to him to solve the financial problems arising from their publishing business. Original in Turkish.
