Abstract
The case shows the growth of the Finnish glass industry and this company in particular. Production and costing figures are given, as well as insights into product planning and advertising policy. Emphasis is placed on its search for export markets. The case has been used to show how management of a highly competitive industry can seek out and obtain export markets for its products and the process through which it will have to undertake the research. Cooperative export is discussed. The case forms a basis for discussion of future growth of a highly competitive industry in the international field.
