The note states the factors which must be considered when structuring a wage payment system. It then describes different payment methods including time rates, payment by results, measured daywork, plantwide incentives and job evaluation. Advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed. A short bibliography is included. The note can be used as background reading or for class discussion.
