Abstract
Mr Flowers is considering giving up his job in order to devote full time to TML which he has been running for the past six months in his spare time. He examines the balance sheet and profit and loss account. The aims of this case are: (a) to show the limitations of the profit and loss account and balance sheet when assessing a company''s performance and its future; (b) to introduce projected profit and loss accounts and balance sheets; and (c) to introduce accounting ratios.
