Abstract

Miss Gordon, elected Chairman and Managing Director on her father''s death, realised that her experience was too limited to make a full contribution, but she was determined that the company should prosper and expand. She therefore asked James Roberts, a family friend, if he would take on the job of General Manager. The case provides a good deal of information about the company, and asks, inter alia: What should be its objectives during the next five years, and how should they be achieved?
