Abstract

This case describes the events that perpetuated DSC's default only six weeks after closing the facility. Although DSC survived the 1991 default, made significant operational improvements and reduced its financial leverage, the case illustrates the importance of event risk. (See also the companion case, F-1071.) A teaching note is available to registered faculty.
