This (C) case provides data on the reliability of the F100 jet engine by Pratt and Whitney and that of the rival F110 by General Electric in the period from 1975 to 1990. In addition, the case charts a proxy for the number of contractual disputes in the period from 1970 to 1987 for all subsidiaries of the parents companies of Pratt and Whitney and of General Electric.
