Abstract
This is the fourth of a four-case series (IMD-5-0626 to IMD-5-0629). This case describes what happened in the alcoholic beverages market in Japan between 1998 and 2003. This case raises the question of what lessons Kirin could draw from the past to improve its performance in the near future. A video ''IMD-5-0394-V'' is available to accompany the case series.
