Abstract
The Astaldi case relates to the financial valuation of a company in the context of a stock market listing transaction, an initial public offering (IPO). The listing of Astaldi occurred on 6 June 2002 and presents numerous features that make this case particularly interesting from a teaching perspective. Participants are required to play the role of a financial analyst and, starting from the information provided in the case, to estimate the value of the security being issued.
