Abstract

The financial statements of Islamic banks are very different from those of conventional banks. Data is provided here for a cross section of banks from the Islamic banking world. Students are asked to analyse the Islamic financial statements drawing out the differences from conventional bank statements. They are then asked to analyse the differences between Islamic accounting statements within different Islamic countries.
