This case discusses the best practices in supply chain management (SCM) of UK- based retailer - Tesco. Effective supply chain management can be termed as one of the factors that helped Tesco emerge as a market leader in the retailing industry in the UK. Tesco introduced lean management solutions into its supply chain successfully. It adopted path-breaking techniques and systems like point of sales data, primary distribution, continuous replenishment and adopted RFID (radio frequency identification) technology to make its supply chain more efficient.
