Abstract
The founder of Sunripe Marketplace is thinking about how to grow his operations. He has two fresh produce-focused stores and a unique set of distribution and store-level systems that differentiate him from other supermarkets. Would the current system enable him to expand his operations beyond two stores? This case study allows instructors to discuss entrepreneurship (how an independent competes against big-box retailers). As a complementary exercise, the case gives students enough information to construct Sunripe''s income statement. A video ''7B06M049'' is available to accompany this case.
