Abstract

When a 'burned out' teacher of international relations decides to reinvigorate his teaching by inviting far more class participating via cases, the approach appears to pay early dividends. He has not counted, however, on the reaction of two students who begin to question and comment almost incessantly to the obvious frustration of other class members. 'Tom Nolan' must decide how to rein in unwanted participation at the same time encouraging the generally high involvement of students around which he's built his plans.
