Abstract
This is a Simplified Chinese version. Canadian Closures manufactured beer bottle caps and was a joint venture (JV) between an Australian closures company and a Canadian brewery. Its general manager had led the company in resolving its operational and financial problems over the past two years and had been meeting the parent companies' profit targets. He wanted to provide a strategic vision for Canadian Closure's future which included possible expansion into the United States. A sales and distribution network would be required and acquisition appeared to the best solution. Given that the objectives of the parent companies had changed throughout the life of the JV, he would need to manage their commitment to this plan.
