Abstract
COHL (China Overseas Holdings Limited), originating from the Chinese mainland, is the market leader in the Hong Kong construction sector. In order to further expand, it is exploring the market in Dubai and India. Despite the promising opportunities there, the company is facing a very different culture and environment. Experienced managers are reluctant to work in Dubai or India and local staff are not as efficient as those in China. Furthermore, its original headquarters-subsidiary relationship is challenged.
