Abstract

A Mexican manufacturer of very well accepted disposable paper home products, leads in all the products he makes except one. The most accepted paper napkins are sold by the Mexican subsidiary of a US company. Among the many things he does to regain the leadership in paper napkins is to get a publicity agency to design a campaign for TV, thinking that it is through this means that he will reach its goal, not only because of its novelty, audacious concept and production, but also because it won a prize in a well known international publicity contest. Although the result after six months is almost null, the agency still believes it requires more time to take effect. However, the company cannot wait any more and asks them to design a new totally different campaign. After many meetings, both stay unmoved in their postures, when without warning the agency decides to quit, leaving the manufacturer in a very delicate situation.
