Given Imaging, (NASDAQ symbol GIVN) based in Yokneam, in the north of Israel is the world''s technological pioneer and leader of the capsule endoscopy field, a subset of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract market. In the US alone the GI tract device supplier market is valued at approximately $1.2 billion in 2007 and is expected to grow to $1.6 billion by 2011. While the company has experienced substantial growth over the last few years, there is a clear need for a breakthrough, as new capsule endoscopy systems launched in recent years are moving aggressively into Given''s major markets by major competitors. Having proven the technology in the market, Given is no longer considered a start-up. However, in order to survive and prosper it must grow and grow fast. The time has come to define what will be the growth engines for the company in the coming years and the means to achieve these goals.
