Abstract

This case describes the creation, mission, strategy and interaction of the Kinetics Foundation and the Michael J Fox Foundation. The Kinetics Foundation was created by Intel former Chairman and CEO Andrew S Grove. The Michael J Fox Foundation was created by the well known actor Michael J Fox. While the Kinetics and Michael J Fox foundations are quite different in their structures and processes, they both support research into finding treatments and cures for Parkinson''s disease. Both Grove and Fox suffer from Parkinson''s disease, a neurodegenerative condition.
