Published in: 2008

Abstract

According to Dave Ulrich, Norm Smallwood, and Kate Sweetman, there are five rules of effective leadership that comprise a leadership code. However, in order to be useful, rules not only have to be defined, but be used and lead to action. In this chapter, the authors explore ideas about how to use all five elements of the code together to build better leadership and to be a better leader. This chapter is excerpted from ‘The Leadership Code: Five Rules to Lead By'.
