Abstract

Five years after the inception of the 'Moving the World' partnership between logistics provider TNT and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), its management team launches an evaluation and renewal process to guide the partnership as it enters a new phase. This case study follows the management team throughout the different stages of the evaluation, all the way up to the final decision to renew the partnership for an indefinite period of time. This case aims to foster reflection and discussion around the following themes: Managing private-humanitarian partnerships over the long term Performance evaluation as a management tool for private-humanitarian partnerships Implications of engaging in long-term private-humanitarian partnerships through CSR programmes.
