Abstract
The case describes the conflicts among a group of executives after a president took over. The executive committee is unable to function because of fights between the different executives. Unresolved problems with the retired president and certain family dynamics seems to cause the problems. A committee is asked to unravel the prevailing organisation dynamics. This case offers the opportunity to identify how partially unconscious organisational dynamics can play havoc with an organisation. Leadership style, personality and family relations will be other topics of discussion.
