Abstract

This note reviews the discoveries regarding methods of thinking, strictly with a view to actions that have been accumulated by a large team of IESE faculty who have set out to continue what Juan A Perez Lopez started in 1965, under the heading 'case analysis' (which, since the introduction of the MBA, has come to be known as 'analysis of business problems'). The note encourages a process of self-analysis and makes some practical suggestions to stimulate ongoing improvement of the personal capacity to think in an orderly fashion. The note is recommended as a summing up at the end of the MBA or at the end of the analysis of business problems course.
