ecch participating in project to embed the case method in Lithuanian and Estonian management education

26 March 2009

Led by ISM University of Management and Economics, Lithuania, this project aims to transfer and develop innovative experiential teaching and learning methods to contribute to the quality of management education in Lithuania and Estonia, specifically by embedding the case method of teaching and learning. The project is funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme, part of the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme, that links policy to practice in the field of vocational education and training.

ecch is working alongside the project partners (ISM University of Management and Economics, Lithuania; University of Tartu, Estonia; NAVIGATOR Consulting Group Ltd and Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Lithuania) to run a programme of workshops designed to fulfil the project aim of training 25 participants in case teaching and writing. The workshops will facilitate the writing of five cases and teaching notes in English, Lithuanian and Estonian that will be distributed by ecch. The first workshop took place in Tartu, Estonia in March 2009 and another is planned for Lithuania in autumn 2009.

The results of the project will be published in the Baltic Journal of Management and disseminated at two international conferences.
