Trevor Williamson’s enthusiasm for the case method dates back to 1976 when he was a final year Management Sciences student at UMIST in Manchester, UK. For the past 27 years, up until his retirement in December 2018, as Programme Leader 'Financial Services' at Manchester Metropolitan University, he sought every opportunity to employ this approach to teaching and learning with his undergraduate and postgraduate students.
He was a participant in the International Teachers Programme at London Business School, UK, is a recipient of a Case Writing Scholarship from The Case Centre, and has had conversations with many bestselling case authors about the secrets of their success.
Trevor has participated in two ESF Leonardo da Vinci - Innovation in Teaching projects, working with academics at leading business schools in Lithuania, Estonia and Poland to take those new to case writing and teaching through a process of transferring a case idea into a teaching case, a teaching note and a teaching plan.
Trevor has been a workshop tutor for The Case Centre since 1999 and has designed and delivered over 75 case teaching and writing workshops at leading business schools around the world.
