Workshop: An Introduction to Case Writing for Participants in Developing Countries

 3 and 17 March 2025

Two 3 hour synchronous online sessions each at 12.30h-15.30h (GMT), and offline individual work.

Are you new to case writing? Have you got an idea for a case but don't know where to start? This online workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to take your idea forwards and create your own highly effective teaching case. Our expert tutor will guide you through the case writing process, and support you working on your case in a structured process approach that produces results.

This workshop is only for participants who work for an organisation based in a country whose GNI (Gross National Income) is classified as low, low middle or upper middle by the World Bank. See which countries this includes.

Overview

At the workshop participants will be introduced to the art of case writing. They will learn about the case writing process in order to develop the first draft of a case. Our expert tutor will provide practical guidance, tips and tricks designed to get you started on your case writing journey.

The workshop includes two 3 hour synchronous, interactive sessions online using Zoom. Participants will be assigned pre-work to begin thinking about an idea for a case that they can work on during the workshop.

All participants will receive course materials, a digital copy of the book Teaching & Writing Cases: A Practical Guide by John Heath, and a selection of articles about case writing.
