About the Society for Case Research
The Society for Case Research (SCR), founded in 1978, facilitates the exchange of ideas leading to the improvement of case research, writing, and teaching; assists in the publication of written cases or case research and other scholarly work; and provides recognition for excellence in case research, writing, and teaching.
The Society has over 400 participants at dozens of colleges and universities, primarily in the United States.
About the collection
SCR publishes three scholarly journals, the Business Case Journal (BCJ), the Journal of Case Studies (JCS), and the Journal of Critical Incidents (JCI). Each journal employs anonymous reviews with acceptance rates under 30%. All three journals are listed in Cabells Scholarly Analytics JournalAnalytics database.
The collection draws on cases from all three journals.
The BCJ has historically focused on cases in which the student is placed in the manager's position and asked to make recommendations appropriate to the context of the situation.
The JCS provides a continual flow of effective up-to-date cases to promote excellence in case teaching.
And the JCI focuses on publishing brief cases (aka critical incidents) that describe real situations.
