Workshop: An Introduction to Developing Multimedia Cases
16 May 2023, 14h-17h (BST) and 23 May 2023, 14h-16h (BST)
Two synchronous online sessions and offline individual work.
Would you like to create multimedia cases for use in your classes? This practical, interactive workshop will provide the opportunity to explore this approach and assess its benefits for use in your own case teaching and writing.
Overview
Combining multimedia with the case method offers an engaging and powerful approach to teaching and learning. Approximately 40% of cases used across IE University's face-to-face and blended programs are multimedia in format, and are extremely popular with both faculty and students.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to learn more about developing multimedia case studies, and IE University's pioneering liquid learning methodology, from the IE University Publishing team. The team will share practical tips, skills and tools for maximising the benefits of multimedia cases, tutorials and simulations. Participants will also have the chance to develop the idea for a multimedia case and receive guidance and feedback from the team.
The workshop includes two synchronous, interactive sessions online using Zoom. Between sessions participants will work on an idea for a multimedia case of their own ready to discuss at the second session.
