Abstract
Many organisations all over the world are establishing knowledge management practices for achieving competitive edge. Knowledge management (KM) has become the need of the hour for every organisation to remain ahead in the competition. This case study aims to develop strategies for winning MAKE (Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises) Award in knowledge management for NTPC. MAKE award is the closest that is available currently to measure world-class performance in the KM field. Teleos, in conjunction with the KNOW Network, announces a series of annual awards for achievement in KM ranging from global MAKE study and regional MAKE studies conducted for the Americas (North, Central and South America), Asia and Europe (including the Middle East and North Africa), to National MAKE study. In the present case study strategies for successful establishment of knowledge management are recognised and its implementation is identified. It is a teaching case.
