Abstract
The case describes the challenges faced by Steve Chambers as CEO of the HyHe company, during the construction and real estate boom, in the current environment of political uncertainty caused by the national elections and by the economic prospects that the industry of the construction will face depending on the government policies applied in the next five years. Several industries will be affected by the decisions of the new government and representatives of Congress, who could request more projects or slow down their activities to pay attention to other issues of national interest. Steve was the co-founder and CEO of the company since its inception and is overwhelmed by the scope and difficulty of the company's problems. The case illustrates these challenges in administrative, operational and organizational aspects. It gives participants the opportunity to make a diagnosis, an action plan and analyze the situation. The forces in the industry and in the operational cycle and the key factors for success from the analysis of suppliers, customers, increased competition and new entrants are included in the teaching of the case.
