Abstract
Thai Farmers Bank Public Company Limited, the third largest bank in Thailand, wants to have significant regional banking presence in South East Asia. A senior vice president had to prepare her departments to perform in a high tech environment where client discount information and databases were utilized to increase the bank''s profitability. However, the 1997 financial crisis in Thailand, precipitated by the real-estate collapse, worsened due to changes in monetary policy and the rumors of devaluation in the Thai baht.
