Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) had effectively transformed decision making and talent search while ensuring the organisation's cultural fit and had proved to be a game changer at the recruitment front. Further the AI technology facilitated recruiters and job seekers in establishing a mutually beneficial relationship. Hiring functions had been automated to remove time consuming procedures providing recruiters with quality time for relationship building. Besides, AI had supplemented human resource processes from talent recognition to mapping and assessing applicant behaviours. In similar lines, L'Oreal - the cosmetic giant - had adopted AI to fine tune its talent acquisition strategy. The company commenced 'Reveal' - an online virtual reality game for recruitment which familiarised candidates with the organisation and its work culture, and also formed a part of the company's graduate recruitment strategy. The gamification tools used by the company sought solutions to real life challenges while assessing the analytical capabilities of applicants. Technologies like online job boards, applicant tracking systems coupled with professional networking sites considerably influenced the job application and recruitment environment. Would L'Oreal succeed in eliminating human bias while formulating the AI recruitment systems?
