Abstract
The Bank of Montreal''s Seoul branch manager has to decide how to respond to a change in local government banking regulations that effectively makes lending activities in Korea unprofitable. He has to consider the role of the Korean branch as part of the bank''s global operations, and the local culture and regulatory environment.
