Abstract
The technical note explores the different credit facility types typically available to customers of Nigerian banks as well as the considerations of financial institutions in extending the different facility types to individuals and businesses. The note starts by explaining different typical loan purposes and further gives descriptions and transaction dynamics of facility types such as overdrafts, time loans, import finance facilities, local purchase orders, contract financing, invoice discounting, warehousing facilities, leases, and contingent liabilities.
