This case is an inspiring journey of Neeraj Desai, residing in Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh India a self-taught entrepreneur, community worker, follower of Indian values and culture and an environmentalist at heart. Neeraj founded Sainath Engineering Services power generator rental services in 1996. During this time, Malwa region was facing acute power shortage and demand for electric power. At the same time, many new industrial and developmental projects were also taking shape in the region which required reliable and consistent power backup supply. In an attempt to avail this opportunity, Neeraj built his team and expertise to provide power generator rental services to multiple projects. By the year 2013-14 he had achieved enough credentials in both private and public sectors. Over a period of time, the firm had many mega infrastructure projects in its kitty. As a result, Sainath Engineering Services became a quality driven firm which offered a wide range of diesel engine generators, electric motors, transformers, compressor, and cables. Though the journey this far was not easy for Neeraj, he had faced number of challenges in his personal and professional life and learned many lessons of life. In spite of not belonging from affluent background, with nobody doing business in his family, without pedigree, power and connections, Neeraj's never-say-die spirit and ability to recognize opportunities made him what he is today - a successful entrepreneur.
