Abstract

The renowned communications company, Saudi Telecom Company (stc) was headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It provided integrated mobile, fixed and broadband services to more than 160 million customers. Moreover, stc an innovative digital pioneer was augmenting customer experiences across Saudi Arabia and entire MENA region. Consequently, stc launched its DARE strategy towards digitising operations, accelerating core asset performance, reinventing customer experience and expanding assertively. Going forward, stc refreshed its 'DARE strategy' and designated it as 'DARE 2.0' to enhance customer experience. The company had expanded beyond its national borders into the international markets establishing businesses in countries of GCC countries, Asia and Africa. InspireU, MENA Gateway data centre and Rawafed were some of stc's efforts besides extending optical fibre networks and SIM cards. Further, it collaborated with Tier I internet providers to fortify its internet global backbone connectivity. The company established TAWAL for maximising its core asset performance. For successful adoption of 5G, stc built alliances with prominent tech/telco brands like Accenture, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, Redhat, Teradata and SAS for efficient digital transformation, 5G developments, IoT, cloud technology development and big data analytics respectively. Would stc be able to sustain its global status of a key strategic player and digital enabler?
