The brand that revolutionised the women's fashion globally, unveiled its sustainability initiatives like 'Beauty As A Legacy', which was built on certain key pillars namely, women's empowerment, regenerative farming, responsible Beauty, and eco-design to deploy the various sustainability activities of the company. It also launched 'Women@Dior', #DiorStandWithWoman, 'planting for the future', etc, to express Dior's path towards equality, celebrating women as well as sustainability. In 2021, Dior Couture unit of the company was certified with 'Butterfly Mark' for its sustainability approaches by Positive Luxury. Parfums Christian Dior, the perfumery and cosmetic line of Dior was also running a program with Hectar, the biggest agricultural campus in the world for regenerative cultivation. Though owned by LVMH, Dior received a score of only 21-30% in the 'Fashion Transparency Index' during 2021. The brand also failed to show clarity in its sustainability efforts.
