Abstract

The department store chain, Shoppers Stop is owned by the K Raheja Group of companies. Shoppers’ stop aims to be a one stop solution for all buyers by catering to their fashion and lifestyle needs. Currently, the department store chain has approximately 120 stores in 40 cities across India. With its offline stores, the company also expanded its services to online platforms providing deliveries in major cities of India. The company deals in a number of lifestyle segments such as clothing pieces, footwear, accessories, skin care, health care, home and décor products, and many more. The primary aim of the store is to provide its customers with an unmatched experience by getting together local and international brands all in one space. The majority of improvements were planned to be implemented gradually in various new and existing stores, with the primary emphasis on designing merchandising strategic plan. This case in the first phase deals with the retail management framework and in the second stage deals with designing merchandise strategic plan.
