Abstract

Biggies Burger was a Cafe and Fast-food retail enterprise of Beamer Food and Beverages Private Limited, based in Bengaluru, India. Biggies Burger's journey had begun in 2011 from a small kiosk (about 50 sq ft), in Electronic City, Bengaluru. Biraja Prasad Raut (Raut), an IT professional, had founded Biggies Burger as he could not get authentic grilled burgers near his workplace. He also wanted to build an Indian QSR Burger chain. In 2023, Biggies Burger had 130 outlets in 28 cities and 14 states in India. The founder being a techie had utilised a number of technologies in the outlets. Biggies Burger had planned to set up 350 outlets by 2024. However, Biggies Burger going forward would be confronted by a number of challenges. There was plenty of competition. A good number of brands, both international and local were offering burgers. There were a number of operational challenges too, such as, getting reliable vendors and suppliers of food items onboard and rising costs of raw materials. Would Biggies Burger achieve its targets to have 350 outlets by 2024?
