Abstract

This is the third of a three-case series (392-068-1 to 392-070-1). This case deals with the decline of the Next group, the removal of its CEO, management style, retail expansions and diversification. The case while, unable to analyse changes in corporate strategy and structure, was also developed for use as a basis for negotiation of a hostile takeover by Mr. Davies for his former company after being dismissed. Adequate financial data is provided in order to prepare a financial bid.
