Abstract
Burger King, a $11 billion company, is the second largest burger chain in the world. The ownership of Burger King has changed five times since its inception. It has appointed nine chief executive officers (CEOs) since 1999 and the frequent change in management and their strategies has put the company in trouble whilst adversely affecting its market share and profitability. The company has been suffering losses since 1999. The company had appointed a new CEO, Greg Bennman to ensure a turnaround in its fortunes. The turnaround strategies initiated by Greg has improved the performance of the company. The new management has decided to raise funds by offering an initial public offering for an expansion plan. When Greg suddenly departs, analysts worry if the new management can carry forward his strategy? How will it affect Burger King''s initial public offering?
