Welcome to The Case Centre's list of bestselling case authors for the 2018/19 academic year. Teaching faculty whose cases sell the most copies during the previous academic year appear in the list.
A place in the top 40 is an extraordinary achievement, as over 8,000 case writers are registered with The Case Centre. A special congratulations to everyone on the list.
First place
Debapratim Purkayastha makes it four years at the top of the bestselling case author tree. The ICFAI Business School Dean (Case Research Center) held on to his no.1 crown by selling over 21,000 of 231 cases in 2018/19. Huge congratulations to him.
Highest new entry
Of the three new entries, London Business School’s Herminia Ibarra places highest on the list at no.34. Congratulations to Herminia.
Worldwide presence
For a second consecutive year, European schools have increased their presence in the top 40, rising from 37.5% to 42.5%. US schools still represent the largest percentage in the list at 45%, but down from last year’s 50%. Other trends include David A Garvin making the biggest move up the list from 28 in 2017/18 to 11 in 2018/19.
