Abstract

This is the fourth of a four-case series (IMD-3-0956 to IMD-3-0958 and IMD-3-0976). Case (C) focuses on the situation faced by Papyrus Laser four years after its chaotic founding. Robert Keane was faced with the challenges and opportunities offered by the explosion of the Internet as a communication and retailing channel. He had to decide whether or not to completely overhaul the strategy of the company and take it from an Internet-enabled distributor of speciality paper products in Europe to a true global Internet-driven e-printing specialist, with leading edge print and edit technologies.
