Abstract

Radio-frequency ID (RFID) tags, everyone knows, can dramatically improve supply chain efficiency and increase profitability. But too many companies are implementing the technology only because it is the current thing to do - not because they have mapped out compelling commercial reasons for using it. And they won''t reap the benefits without a sound approach to implementing or using the technology. The authors outline four steps for successfully using RFID to achieve fundamental supply chain improvements.
