Since the public release of ChatGPT in November 2022, most educators have gained firsthand experiences with AI and have contemplated its implications for their teaching. AI, in its various forms, will fundamentally transform education, and the case method is no exception.
In this webinar, we focused on the positive and potentially negative impacts of AI on the case method. We explored teaching an individual case session, implications for the design and delivery of case-based courses, and how AI can be used when writing cases.
During the webinar the speakers discuss uploading cases to AI, for example to ask it to summarise them. Due to copyright laws this is only acceptable if you are the copyright owner of the case. You must not upload a case written by anyone else to any Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool as you will be in breach of copyright.
